Keeping the home - or attempting to - as a Gen X Mom of four and wife to one. This blog is on keeping the children & dh happy, keeping the house, keeping God in first place, keeping the chickens & the bunnies, keeping homeschool & more. I'm not the person who is ahead of you in motherhood knowledge. I'm just the gal right beside you, pushing the stroller, dragging the preschooler, and hollering at other kids while wishing they'd grow up and wishing they'd stay little, all in one thought.

I still call you that sometimes, MOM
Aren't they cute? I can totally relate, except mine, which will be 9 on 3/26, says, "I'm not a baby" and I say, "you're MY baby and you will ALWAYS be MY baby", he says, "why do I have to be the youngest, I don't want to be the youngest", then I say, "sorry but someone has to be the youngest and you are my baby and always will be"...we go back and forth...he is MY baby!
My babies balk at being called that. I called my kid brother my baby brother until he was in his twenties, though. Loved your magnolia post, but sadly only have time to comment in one place today.
Whoops, not magnolias, that other tree, but you did mention magnolias. I may need a brain transplant!
Mom...shh, don't tell
Kami - you'll always win that argument!
Karin - My baby brother is STILL my BABY brother. I call him "Liklik", which means "Little" in Melanesian Pidgin. I don't like his choice of words back to me, though. He calls me "Bikpela" (Big)!!
