Link: Baby Name Wizard

Check out this fascinating site: Baby Name Wizard

Type in someone's name s-l-o-w-l-y to get the best effect. I discovered that my name, Lori, has totally fallen out of favor with the world, but peaked in popularity right when I was born, in 1970. And Tim's name has been consistently popular. Not fair.

I typed in famous names like Farrah and Crissy (Threes Company) and wouldn't you know it, they peaked very high in the 1970s. Brittney peaked in the 90's.

Both Brandon and Dillon peaked in the early 1990s.

I was disappointed because my millenial baby's name didn't appear there at all. I'd prefer something more multinational, but otherwise it's a cool idea.

The Baby Name Wizard only lists the top 1000 names, so if your name isn't at least making the top 1000 list, it won't be there. I was surprised that our "Stone" made the list in 2000-now. I can never find his name in those displays with the rulers and bracelets with names on them.

Darlene - We have a Brittany and it was interesting to me that her spelling was the most popular until the mid-90s when Brittney and Britney are more popular. I guess Britney Spears caused that?
